If I'm going to have a cat, I want to live in constant wonder as to whether or not that cat secretly plans to take over the world while I'm at work.

She is a formidable animal, and I am not opposed to having one like her someday. However, wondering if you're cat is planning to take over the world reminds me of the cat Salem on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He wanted to take over the world and he was weird.
Tim, you keep picking cats that resemble one of the cats Matt and Stephanie have.
All cats have that plan. This one is less successful because it has a bad poker face.
