Where Were You At 1am?
I was sitting in an ambulance, falling asleep for 5 minute periods and wondering how a basement fire takes 3 hours to put out and clean up. It was great. Really.

The reason it took so long was because there was this kickin' party in there. We kept partying so hard that the fire kept reigniting, for serious.
Tim, pictures on FRN makes it look like a little more than just a basement fire. But...if you listen to the audio provided by FRN, it seems you can find the answer to your question.
Sure, George, if you want to get technical. But it probably wouldn't sound as dramatic if I said there was extension into the walls on the first and second floor. I guess a more direct observation would be that the fire was placed under control after about an hour and it took two hours after that to clean it up. Is that more acceptable... wacker? ;)

we all know that that wasn't basement fire smoke. that was barbecue smoke. and good barbecue takes time.

Yep Timmy, that's a better observation, which is what I'd expect as the son-of-a-wacker, and from a ESTC trained, former fireman.
